UNIFORMS

Team jersey, hat, socks, and belt are provided by El Segundo Little League. You will need to provide baseball pants (white or grey), helmet, glove, cleats, and a "USA Stamped" bat.

Divisions of Play & SKILLS GUIDELINES

Division placement is determined by a combination of variables including player league age, and or skill level determined by an evaluation process within Little League guidelines. The appropriate level-of-play for a child is not determined strictly or solely by the player's age, although age is one factor that parents and managers use to help ascertain the correct level for that child. In the level-of-play descriptions, below, we provide guidelines for the skill levels and ages of children who may play at each of the levels. You should register your child for the most appropriate division based on their skills. Little league age for the 2026 season can be checked here.
Determining the division in which your child plays will be based on these guidelines, feedback from Player Evaluation Sessions, and evaluations from prior year coaches. Tee ball, Rookie & Single A players do not participate in Player Evaluations. They will be placed on teams by the ESLL division VP and Player Agent.
ESLL reserves the right to re-assign a child to a division other than the one in which he or she is originally registered or requested by the parent(s). This is done for a variety of reasons: league age, safety, the need for equal teams, for the development of any particular child, to ensure that each division has the requisite number of players, or for the general well-being of the league as a whole.
ESLL has published an updated skill requirements document for parents to review in advance of registration to determine where the player will best fit to develop their skills and love for the game of baseball. The registration application will ask several questions to help us determine the correct division for your child based on these variables.

Little League Age

Little League International determines league age. Please use the 2026 league age chart to determine your child’s league age, which may be different from actual age.

Player Evaluations

Evaluations are necessary to assess skill and to create well-balanced teams. Players can evaluate for different divisions if they are skilled enough to play up (but are still within age guidelines).
Saturday 12/13 & Sunday 12/14

Buddy Requests

Friend requests are not accepted in AA, AAA, and Majors.
ESLL will make every effort to honor Tee Ball, Rookie, and A friend requests.

Locations

Practices and games will be held at one of the following El Segundo fields:

Campus Field, Rookie Field (CSS), ESHS Arena Field, Walton Field (CSS), Bakalyar Field (CSS), Raytheon, Brett Field.
Final locations will be determined prior to the season depending on field availability and the number of teams per division.

Residency Requirement

Your child must be an El Segundo resident or attend an El Segundo school
Please note the mandated Little League residency proof checklist.
Note: If you do not meet the eligibility requirements, do not register your player. Anyone who registers a player that does not meet the eligibility requirements will not be accepted and will have their fees (excluding the processing fee) refunded.

Any Non-residents

Per Little League guidelines, players aged 4-7 do not need to provide proof of residency. Once we reach the capacity for local registrants, we will start processing non-residents. Please be aware that space for non-resident players is not guaranteed.

MANAGERS & Coaches

We need managers, coaches, and team parents! If you have an interest in volunteering for these roles, please indicate this in the Volunteer section of the registration process.
Managers will be required to interview with the ESLL Board.

Snack Bar Volunteers
